Week 35
whoa whoa whoa! its gettin close! just five more weeks to go, but by the feel of all the dancing around inside my stomach, it feels like madison is ready to come now! today begins our weekly visits with dr. goldman until she arrives so we'll have a better idea of her birth date as the time gets closer, but for now, she is still expected on may 4. madison is also getting much bigger! she's closing in around twenty inches long and 5 1/2 pounds (so they say anyway) and you can finally tell from the bulge in my belly. and thats not the only thing getting bigger: my once delicate fingers are now the hands of an unrecognizable ogre's with sausage links for fingers! and oh boy are they sore! in fact, typing this blog is a challenge since i'm hitting three keys at a time instead of the usual one :) now i dont want you guys sponsoring me for any marathons or anything, but i have also had a lot of heartburn coupled with an achy back and what feels like a 90 year old pelvis and even older hips. but dont you guys go shedding any tears for me, i'll be just fine...
i dont have any new pictures of madison to post yet, so i will leave you with an updated picture of yours truly. have a great weekend everyone and happy easter!

Week 30
madison is weighing in at just over three pounds in these pictures and is developing beatifully! and shes not too bad looking either! hehe. since our last post, our baby has gone through quite an array of fruit size ranging from a mango, to a banana, then on to an eggplant, and now in week 30 an amazing squash! she is about 17 inches long now and it seems i can feel every bit of that. she moves around quite a bit and sometimes i wonder if she is doing gymnastics or planning an early escape. i can tell already she is going to be a hand full and i'm looking forward to every bit of it!
so what next? the nursery! there is still much work to do but the mural is complete and i'm more than happy with it!
i have yet to find a crib set that will match well with what we have so far, but i've got my eyes peeled and of course, always open to suggestions!
ok, so now on to the baby shower. thank you all so much for a beautiful party and everything you've done for us so far! i can't put into words how much appreciation i have for every one of you and feel truly blessed to have such wonderful family and friends! i only hope your giving nature doesnt end here: i am already actively seeking full time baby sitters! hehe. and for those of you who could not make it, here are some pictures to help you feel the joy of that day:

Week 19
now as far as the baby herself: she is doing well and the last ultrasound didnt show anything that we should be worried about. she is developing at a normal rate, has a healthy heartbeat, and all other organs are strong. her brain however is larger than normal which forces me to assume that she must be getting all the smarts from her mother...Madison weighed 6 oz and was 6 inches long at the beginning of last week and according to my your-baby-as-fruit website, she is the size of a mango this week.
sorry the pictures arent so clear, but you get the idea: someone is really in there!
awwwwwwwww!
now usually i would leave some final fun developmental facts here about the baby, but, well...nothing is really going on. her organs are continuing to grow rapidly and i read something about a wax starting to form on her skin. snooze fest, i know. but as she gets bigger and i start to feel her kicking me, i will definitely keep you all posted! thanks for everyones support and excitement, we appreciate and love you all!
